We stayed for three weeks in a very spacious apartment and found it great value for money. The bedding and towels were changed halfway through our stay. It was only a two-minute walk to the Thermal Cure, and there’s an outdoor pool too. The apartment has a studio lounge, kitchen and bathroom. I’ll be glad to reserve it again next year.

I can’t give less than one star. The garage had broken glass and lots of pigeon droppings, which felt unhealthy for us and our dog. Inside, the room was spacious, but the carpet had so many dirty spots that we didn’t dare put our suitcases down. The apartment was filthy and disgusting, so we shut the door behind us and left. After 19:00, there was nobody at reception and nobody answered the phone. I wouldn’t recommend this stay to my worst enemy.

If you just want an extremely basic night’s rest, this may suit you. It’s not a hotel, but a place renting apartment rooms with a fridge, microwave and hob. There are lots of units, so it doesn’t feel as charming as the photos suggest. There are no chairs by the pool, and getting to it involves a strange detour. Breakfast isn’t available, so you have to go to La Roche Posay village for it.

This was our second visit, and we’ll be back again. The location is excellent, the staff are lovely, and the pool is nice. The rooms are a great size, very comfortable and clean.

We stayed one night, and the whole unit was filthy and hadn’t been cleaned properly. The place was disgusting. I’ll never stay in an Appart Hotel again!
