The pool was a real treat, warm and lovely, and the kids had fun at the basketball and football area. We also liked having fresh bakery items in the morning. The campsite was peaceful during our Easter stay, and the staff made us feel very welcome. It was a great time for a relaxed family break, so we plan to return. A couple of things could be better for children: the coin machines can get a bit overstimulating, and the little ride-on cars are available for 30 or 60 minutes only, not for a full day. Even so, we'd happily recommend the campsite.

The walk to La Roche Posay village took about 20 minutes, and it was an easy one. The site felt safe for the kids to cycle around, with drivers taking care as they came and went. We stayed six nights in our motorhome, and the facilities were modern, very clean, and split into male and female sections, which we especially appreciated. The children were also big fans of the pool, and the takeaway pizza was lovely. The bar was a letdown for the prices. A double gin with no mixer cost €12, and the pints were flat in widgetless glasses. At those prices, they should be serving a proper pint. The coffee was good, though.

It was much quieter than in midsummer, though still a fantastic site. The staff are really friendly and there's loads for kids to do. Definitely worth stopping at when travelling through.

We had a shaded pitch looking over the racecourse, which was welcome with temperatures in the mid-30s. There was no racing while we were there, unfortunately. Our pitch also had its own washroom and toilet. The shop wasn't open during our June visit, and the bar had limited hours and was shut on Tuesday. The staff were all very friendly, though, and we'd stay here again.

The town is lovely and the people were very friendly. The campsite has all the amenities, and its location worked well for visiting chateaux and nearby towns and villages. I also had a beautiful spa day at THE La Roche Posay and would recommend it.
