The booking itself went smoothly, but we couldn’t make the trip because my partner had to be rushed to hospital in a life-threatening emergency. We contacted Cécile, who said she’d refund us if she managed to rent the place again. As I understand it, her contract says that if the tenant doesn’t arrive within 24 hours, she keeps the deposit, and I think that clause has since changed. We had to bring in a mediator to make sure the contract terms were followed. There wasn’t much compassion, and she’s very stingy.

I loved the cottage. It was very comfortable, set in incredible surroundings in a private park, and superbly located in the city.

It’s a wonderfully peaceful spot right in central La Rochelle, about five minutes from the beach, city center, and port. We’ve stayed there twice.

Quiet despite being right in the center, and in a great location. The apartment was recently renovated, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped. I’d gladly come back.

We loved this quiet apartment, and I’d gladly stay again on a future visit to La Rochelle. It was well equipped, had a terrace, and came with free parking. The location was excellent, just steps from the beach, old port, and restaurants. A really pleasant family stay, highly recommended.
