Les EcoloGites de la Rochelle

We had such a lovely time in this charming, cozy little cottage. It’s comfortable and just right for two, with a beautiful flower garden and a small terrace that’s especially nice on sunny days. The location makes getting around easy. The old port and city centre are only a few minutes away on foot, and there are bike stations nearby. We’d highly recommend it as a base for visiting La Rochelle and the surrounding area.

The self-service arrival and departure were easy, thanks to the very clear instructions. Sophie, our contact, was quick to reply and included excellent restaurant suggestions in the welcome booklet. The place itself felt warm and pleasant inside and out, with a quiet little garden and a frog pond. It’s in a peaceful neighborhood, about a 20-minute walk from the aquarium and 30 minutes from the city centre. We’d gladly stay again on our next trip to La Rochelle.

Lucille and Sophie were very friendly and quick to respond. The accommodation was quiet, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. The garden was lovely, and having free street parking was a real bonus. We’d be happy to come back next time we’re in La Rochelle :)

We could park right outside the cottages, then walk everywhere with our 4-year-old daughter. Jean Alain and Lucille shared lots of useful recommendations, and the accommodation was very comfortable. A fantastic experience with friends. I highly recommend it.
