Pierre & Vacances La Rochelle Résidence Centre

We found the apartment exactly as shown in the pictures. It was clean, service was excellent, and the location was perfect, just a three-minute walk from the centre and port. The flat was small for two adults and our teenagers, aged 14 and 16, but we managed, and the beds were comfortable. Our son just fitted into the bunk bed, which seems better suited to children under 12. There was a nice little veranda overlooking a lake. The building's pool was busy much of the time, though we did find a quiet moment to use it. Reception staff were kind and helpful. Check when reception closes, and ask where and how to collect your key if arriving later. I'm glad we'd arranged this, as our flight was delayed and we got there after reception had closed. The video is from checkout day, after I'd packed.

The rooms are really nice, though the view depends on which side you're on. It's also near the La Rochelle train station, and only about 5-10 minutes on foot to the centre. My one annoyance was the bath. They say there's one, but you can't actually use it as a bath. Otherwise, it's a nice place for a few nights. The woman at the main entrance desk was very friendly. I'd recommend it for two people wanting to stay near the centre at a reasonable price, outside the summer season.

The indoor pool is great, and being able to get breakfast on site is a real plus. The reception team are friendly, and the residence is close to the city centre. Rooms are clean, though they're not especially spacious.

We had everything we needed in the apart hotel for our weekend stay, and the pool was a real bonus. The staff were so nice, and the location was perfect. Everything worked out really well.
