There are plenty of more dependable, cheaper places to stay, and I’d tell people to avoid this one. The €80 felt disgraceful for what we got. Paying was odd too, we were told to leave the cash under a pillow. We never even put our suitcases down because the room was so dirty. There were insects, the bathtub was filthy, and the bathroom light didn’t work. If you have a dust allergy, you’re likely to have an asthma attack. Getting the keys was a nightmare, with no flexibility at all. The place also felt frightening, especially a door marked "Private - Do Not Enter - Dangerous!" We didn’t stay.

The vintage look has its charm, though the place feels pretty dated. Light comes straight into the bedroom because the blind needs replacing, and the bathroom isn’t welcoming.

We were told Booking.com hadn’t received our reservation, but only after we’d arrived and they cancelled at the last minute. We did manage to get a refund. We won’t be coming back. Sorry.

A lovely little house in the village, and a great fit for a family holiday. Excellent.

On cycle route 63, this gîte is simple, practical, and reasonably priced.
