The restaurant was still open late in the season, and the lakeside setting is beautiful. We’d visit again if we were in the area. The site is good, though a bit hilly, and it’s a 15 minute walk to a pretty little town with good facilities. It’s hard to judge a site at season’s end: autumn leaves were everywhere, half the facilities were closed, and despite the sunshine, evenings were cold and dark.

Our small group got a large, shaded pitch, though some others looked very small. Avoid the designated camper spots. The sanitary facilities were clean, and there’s a small pool to cool off in. La Souterrain’s beautiful centre ville is 2 km away, and Aldi is about 1 km away. Unfortunately, swimming in the lake isn’t allowed.

The lake views are beautiful, and the food was excellent. We had lunch with our three children, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good range of options on the children's menu.

The pitches are a good size, and the staff are friendly. Bathrooms were clean, but the pool is very small and there weren’t enough recycling bins.
