The hostel is closed now, and the owner rents the studios by the night, week, or month. They’re just the old rooms under a new name. When you open the door, there’s a stale, musty smell. The studios haven’t been renovated in 20 years and are old, ugly, and questionably clean. I’d avoid this place completely.

I stayed there for a long weekend five years ago. The owner was very friendly, and for a low price, the rooms were fine, plus the lake was close by. You can’t have everything, but it worked perfectly for a small budget. We also ate really well at the restaurant next door.

It was a very good stay, but the room needed cleaning, especially all the cobwebs, and my bedding needs replacing. The price was far too high for the room we had. We didn’t see the owner either. It would have been nice to get back the money we had to leave in the bedside table.

The manager was incredibly kind, and the cleaning was impeccable. Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and more than fair for the price. Thanks for the stay! 😆

What a nice surprise. The owner has a great sense of humor, and we got an excellent welcome. The room was perfectly clean, the bedding was great, and the price for the quality is unbeatable around the Arcachon basin. We really enjoyed it and will be back.
