Really great.

We'd booked for July 29 in early July, and the owners had confirmed the reservation. As we got close, we let them know we were there, but got no reply. When we arrived, the owner wouldn't answer or open the door. She eventually said she'd got the date wrong and that the place was full. Managing bookings is one of the basics of the job. A disgusting experience, from the way it was handled to the whole situation.

The house was spotless and the room had a decent amount of space. The welcome felt professional, though stiff, and at times I felt as if I was being shouted at, like when I hadn't noticed where the room key was. There's no TV. Watch out on the stairs: the owner makes you remove your shoes before going up, and they're very slippery. I nearly fell while carrying my suitcase. It feels more like a hotel, but several things could be improved. The price is acceptable, nothing more. For a bed and breakfast, I'd expect a more personal welcome and not to be hurried out on Sunday morning.

She told us on the phone that there was heating, but there wasn't when we got there. One bedroom was quite welcoming; the other was tiny and freezing. The rugs by the beds are slippery and dangerous, and the house is so noisy you can hear every footstep. Breakfast was poor-quality “homemade” jam.
