We slept very comfortably thanks to the excellent bedding. The air conditioning schedule wasn't too restrictive, even on the hot days, and the quiet surroundings made for restful nights. We also appreciated the hosts' thoughtfulness, from homemade fruit and juice to hiking maps. They're very kind, welcoming, and attentive. The garden feels like a peaceful refuge, and the cottage is well placed for visiting both the north and south of the island. The cottage has plenty of room, and we loved the outdoor space, terrace, hammock, and pool for cooling off without heading to the beach. A few things could be better: the rugs and part of the kitchen weren't very clean when we arrived, and the kitchen could use more tools, including a kettle, glasses, cutlery, and knives. The bedrooms are dark and would benefit from brighter lighting. Mosquitoes and sandflies can be annoying, maybe a bit more than by the sea, but you get used to them with the right products.

The garden is beautiful, but the mosquitoes there will eat you alive. The listing is misleading: there's no hot tub, and using the spa costs extra. The apartment feels outdated and sparsely furnished. There isn't a kettle, the oven is extremely dirty, and you need a stepladder to reach the upper kitchen cupboards. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms, and it runs only from 8 pm to 8 am. For a place rented to four people, the bathroom is tiny, with the shower and toilet crammed into that small space.

We've come back for a second stay at Gîtes de Bassignac in three years. The hosts are welcoming and thoughtful, and keep an eye on how their guests are doing. Fruit from their garden and homemade juice were waiting for us, and they regularly bring more fruit. They also provide fresh sheets every week and respond quickly. The accommodation is perfect. We stayed for a month in 2019 and are here for three weeks now. Air conditioning in the bedrooms is a real bonus, since not every place has it. The huge, beautiful garden is full of flowers and fruit and is very well maintained. Of course there are mosquitoes, but that's Martinique, not the garden or the accommodation. I highly recommend it. Other family members stayed at Gîtes de Bassignac in December 2021 and loved it too. 🤗

We had a wonderful time in December 2020. The place was peaceful and idyllic, close to the beaches of Trinité and La Caravelle, and the hosts were very friendly. The fully equipped cottage had air conditioning and Wi-Fi. There was a shared swimming pool for the cottages and hosts, and the jacuzzi could be rented.
