BnB Pacific Avenue

The resort is lovely, but we had a string of problems. Our room hadn't been cleaned and the linens hadn't been changed when we arrived. Staff brushed off our complaint rudely, saying it wasn't their problem and they couldn't fix it, so we had to reach the owner ourselves. The linens weren't changed at any point during our stay, either. Music was extremely loud each evening, and our room above reception was very noisy. Staff only speak French, so there was no way to communicate in another language. Parking was available, but there were always more cars than spaces. Meals at the resort were also exorbitantly priced.

The garden is quiet and shaded, and felt like a safe place for children to play. Guests can gather for meals and evenings on the terrace by the swimming pool. The house itself is large and charming, with a lot of history and clearly cared for by its owner, Julien. He is warm, generous, and very friendly.

We were made to feel very welcome by the villa's owner when we stayed in early August. It was quiet, and breakfast was generous. The atmosphere was friendly and family oriented, so we've booked another stay.

The house was unfinished, especially the electrical wiring, with exposed cables that seemed life-threatening. The pool and front garden were very dirty as well. This is a private host I can't recommend. Better to book a hotel.
