The staff were fantastic, looking after us with real professionalism and courtesy. And though the hotel sits on an industrial estate, once you turn into the car park it feels tucked away behind the trees, almost like an oasis.

The rooms were clean, bright, and airy, and there was enough space for our family of four. I don't usually leave reviews, but the welcome from the receptionist and the gentleman in the restaurant deserves a mention. Both were incredibly polite and spoke English far better than my poor French. I really should learn this great language! Five stars for the team at Clos Rouen-La Vaupalière. We'll stay here again on our next trip to this fantastic country.

A great motorway stop on the way to the ferry terminals. The rooms were quiet and spacious, with good quality linen, and breakfast was pretty good, the usual French fare.
