Board ’n Breakfast

The best part was how at home we felt with Antoine and his family. They were so kind and welcoming, and Finn had a lovely time, especially watching Antoine and the boys build their tree house beside the room. The chickens were another bonus for him, and Maui the dog was wonderful with children while respecting our space. We stayed a week with my husband and our 8-month-old, in a garden-facing room with a private bathroom and patio at the back of the main house. Breakfast in the cozy main house was a treat each morning. Laura always had a surprise ready, from açai bowls and banana bread to bread from bread, which I'd never tried before and loved. She also makes the chocolate spreads, so everything felt wholesome and good. We joined a group BBQ one day and rented bikes from Antoine to ride around the lakes. Hossegor is an easy 25-minute cycle, and the towns have great markets. The beach is a beautiful 10-minute walk away. We'd 100% come back.

The food at both the BBQ night and Italian night was delicious, and the kids had a blast in the pool with Maui the dog. We came as a group of 13, with children, and stayed a week across Villa 2, Beachhouse and Wakiki. The whole place has a relaxed, happy feel, and every staff member was really friendly. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable, with an ideal walk to the beach for surfing. Thanks, Anton and Ine, for having us. We loved our Labenne holiday.

The weekly BBQ is delicious, and Italian night has excellent food too. Ine and Anton are always up for a laugh or a chat, and they give helpful advice on where and when to surf the famous French spots. Their little one is adorable, and their lovely dog Mawi is happy to be petted. There are hammocks all around the garden, a great place to relax and feel at home. Board 'n Breakfast feels like a real boardhouse that welcomes surfers, families, couples, or pretty much anyone. The breakfast is very good, and surfboards in all sizes are available to rent at reasonable prices. A top place to stay for weeks or drop by for a few days on a surf trip.

A great feel to the place, with really friendly staff and a perfect location for surfing. Labenne's homebreak is right in front of you if you don't feel like driving, and Hossegor, Seignosse and Biarritz are close by. We had a wonderful stay at Board’n breakfast and will be back!
