Nothing to complain about, our two nights in the cottage were perfect. We were made to feel very welcome, and the breakfast was excellent. Thanks so much for everything and for having us. See you again soon.

We had a delicious local dinner and a really complete breakfast during our stop in this picturesque region. The room was lovely, and the house was beautiful, with a big garden and swimming pool. We were welcomed warmly.

It was quaint and definitely a change of scenery, but the welcome felt particularly inappropriate. You’re in someone else’s home, and you’re made very aware that it isn’t yours. This might suit a single person who can adjust to the schedule and the various constraints, but I wouldn’t recommend it to families, even for just one night.

For a memory you won’t forget, this is the place, haaaa yes. But absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED. You pay a lot and still end up on a sofa bed, with ants and gnats in the shower. And you can’t say anything because, “IT’S MY PLACE!!!” How can such a beautiful place be run by such an EVIL person? The owner is awful.

The place could be lovely, but the owner’s outbursts ruined our stay. She makes a scene over nothing and has no business running a place open to the public. Another family at the bed and breakfast went through the same anger over nothing, and we could hear her yelling from downstairs. I agree with the reviews calling her “unpleasant”; that’s putting it mildly. I wouldn’t rent this gîte again for anything. I’d rather stay in a hotel, and that’s what I’m doing this summer. At Le Caussea, the room costs about the same as the gîte and breakfast is included. No hesitation!
