It was fine.

Our apartment had been fully renovated this year and had the modern comforts we wanted, including an open kitchen with all the equipment, a walk-in shower with a sea view, a dishwasher, and an electric barbecue. It was at the point closest to the water, which was a real plus. The residence is right on Lacanau Océan's south beach, with direct access to the sand and surf rentals. There are no roads or restaurants on this side, so we didn't notice any disturbances. It's an unpretentious place with parking and maintenance service, but the building feels like it dates from the 1980s/90s, is a bit run-down, and the landing doors don't block much sound. Still, it worked perfectly well for a seaside holiday.

It was a relaxing stay, with the residence clean and well maintained. The beach is 50 meters away, while the town center's bustle stays at a distance. I'd recommend it.

You can walk straight to the beach and shopping streets, which is handy. When it gets very hot, though, there's a garbage smell, and noise from neighboring apartments carries through the hallways.
