The Riverside Gîte Lagrasse

We first got to know Amélie years ago when we rented the Balcony Gite. The experience was so positive that, after we became its owners, we asked her to keep managing the property. She and her family live and work in Lagrasse and take an active part in the lively community, so she's right there to welcome you and help throughout your stay. Amélie is friendly, fun and knowledgeable, and she's a capable professional who responds promptly, solves problems and speaks several languages. You can count on her to help you get settled and make the most of your time in this plus beau village.

I contacted Amélie after a friend referred me and asked for information because I was interested but unsure of my plans. A week later, she asked whether I was still going to book. I told her my plans had been postponed, and she berated me and threatened to charge me 30% even though I'd made no commitment. Payment through this service is only by wire transfer, which is costly, slow and cumbersome to arrange from abroad. I was shocked by her presumptuous and insolent response, and found her conduct reprehensible and totally unprofessional. The properties she had available were fine, but rather lacklustre. You'll find better if you look around.

We had a wonderful time in Lagrasse at an apartment managed by Amelie Dekker. She was friendly, punctual and extremely helpful throughout. Highly recommended. WE WILL BE BACK!
