I rented this fantastic cottage for a get-together with friends. There was plenty of room, it was very clean, and everything we needed was provided, even firewood for the fireplace. The welcome was really friendly. Highly recommend it! 👍

The cottage is clean, very well equipped and in a great spot for exploring the vineyards and Romanesque architectural sights of Burgundy. In Laives, there are fountains, a wash house, old Burgundian homes with galleries like this one, and the Romanesque church of St Martin overlooking the village. The Château de la Ferte and its abbey are nearby, as are the Laives lakes for fishing and swimming. This former family home has been restored beautifully, with a small rear courtyard, garden furniture and a barbecue. The owner is very friendly and passionate about the property and its development. One thing to know before booking: the unusual layout, shaped by the house's condition before renovation, means there are many changes in level inside and out. It isn't suitable if someone in your group has a physical disability. That's just a practical heads-up, not a criticism.

The house sits on a quiet road in a peaceful rural area, and there's plenty of space for a family. It's been beautifully restored in a period style and has all the kitchen appliances you need. There's a garden with school, and the owner is friendly and speaks French.

A peaceful, charming place, with an old wash house nearby. Inside, it's all handcrafted wood, and outside there are exposed stone walls. The fireplace adds a lovely Christmas feel.
