L'Ousteau de Bigatié Les gîtes

The location was convenient, quiet, and still close enough to the shops. Breakfast was good, with fresh homemade things, though you have to ask for more if you'd like another serving. We stayed in the pleasant caravan and found the hostess charming and very welcoming. The description mentions a TV, but there wasn't one, which was disappointing, and the Wi-Fi was poor.

The big garden, with its tall pines and well-kept grounds, felt like a lovely change of scene. We stayed one night as a couple in September, when it still feels like summer in this part of the country. Spring can give visitors from the North that same summery feeling. There's an outdoor pool that was still usable while we were there. We chose Le Viegi in the main house, one of several guest rooms. The room was tastefully furnished, with a comfortable bed and a very spacious bathroom featuring a freestanding tub. There's also a room in a gypsy caravan among the pine trees. Our charming host took care of what we needed. Breakfast was served on our room's terrace and was excellent: coffee or tea, fresh orange juice, fruit salad, homemade apple cake, bread, butter, and jam. The price was reasonable, and it's a place I'd remember.

We found the setting peaceful, with secure parking for our beautiful car, and the pool was a lovely way to cool down. The caravan was very comfortable, with Wi-Fi and 4G, and breakfast was excellent, especially the delicious homemade pastries. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. A really good place to stay.
