The tower suite was finished to such a high standard that it felt closer to a five-star hotel than a B&B. We stayed there for a few days in July, enjoying the lovely grounds around Elisabeth's old chateau, whose history goes back to the 12th century. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. Elisabeth was a wonderful host and really looked after us, especially our two little ones, who can be fussy about food. She did her best to find things they'd enjoy. She also arranged a table at the village restaurant and made sure they prepared dishes the kids liked, even though those weren't on the menu. Meeting her lovely ducklings was another trip highlight for them.

My parents spent three nights here in December, and it was the highlight of their trip. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and have everything you need. Carol and Elizabeth were such friendly hosts. Carol is a wonderful cook, and Elizabeth's baking is excellent. We had two lovely meals, and the birthday cake Elizabeth made for me was one of the best I've ever tasted. We hope to come back soon.

The hospitality and peaceful atmosphere made this a standout stay for us. We'd travelled around Europe, and this was definitely one of our best experiences. Carol and Liz welcomed us into their lovely, clean historic chateau. Our updated room was huge and came with thoughtful extras like soft towels, robes, slippers, soap, water, cookies, tea, and coffee. Breakfast was included each morning, cooked to order, and amazing. On arrival day we also enjoyed a gourmet dinner with a lovely bottle of French wine. We stayed four nights and took day trips to Bordeaux and St. Émilion. Definitely recommend it, 10 out of 10.

The meal was a real highlight: dinner in a superb dining room, with well-prepared, nicely presented food. We had a simple starter followed by delicious duck breast. Breakfast was offered in the pleasant dining room too. Domaine Haras de la Tour is easy to find on Google Maps, on a hill just off the main road in LAMOUTHE-LANDERRON, our first visit. It's signposted, with a large gate that you open and close behind you before driving up. There was plenty of parking, and we could unload our luggage at the door. We received a five-star welcome, with help for our cases and a tour of the room, including an explanation of the kettle, coffee machine, TV, and other facilities. The well-equipped apartment had a round double bedroom and a lovely ensuite, with beautiful views of the countryside from the hilltop. Tea and coffee were provided, and the TV used a modern projection system with Netflix. Wi-Fi was excellent. The large ensuite shower was spotless. The Domaine has been almost entirely renovated to a high standard, and the spacious hallway was very pleasant. There are steps up to the main entrance. Leaving was straightforward. A lovely, friendly host, and well worth a stay.

The place is all about the little details, and the breakfast is amazing. You can book supper a day or two in advance, too. It has a level of elegance and refinement that's hard to find, especially as people looking for this kind of luxury might overlook it because the price is below their range. Thanks for everything.
