The apartment was dirty when we arrived, with marks on the floor, dust beneath the beds, and a damaged electrical socket. The vacuum was in terrible shape too, as the photo shows. At checkout I was charged €43 in tourist tax for five people, while a friend staying alone in an apartment paid €81. When I raised it, the manager said he had switched us, but the amount still didn't add up. During the final check, he pointed out a toothpaste tube tab in the sink and hair in the shower drain, both of which were already there. We'd stayed here for years and had a great relationship with the manager. For the last five years, though, there's been someone new who won't speak anything but French. I'm also struck by all the reviews praising the warm welcome. Reviews usually talk about the accommodation, and I don't believe those were written by neutral tenants.

The place was filthy: food bits on the chair cushions, a stained duvet, a horrible smell from the dishwasher dishes, and greasy kitchen handles. The location is the one thing I'd keep. I booked by calling the number on the website and was told payment would be due when I arrived, but then they asked for more than the website price. The apartment I got was badly dated, with missing bed slats, a bunk bed rail that wouldn't stay up, dented doors, walls in need of work, and a leak by the toilet water meter.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and there were lots of genuine activities that worked well for families. It's a lovely, human-scale resort with great value for money. Highly recommend!
