Booking.com later checked the payment proof I sent and confirmed we were right, but by then the stay had already been very upsetting. The host had demanded more money after we had paid the full confirmed amount through the site. When we said no, she yelled and acted aggressively, and we felt unsafe. The property itself also felt unsafe for children: it was up three flights of stairs with no lift, and there were exposed electrical cables on the walls. The beds were very hard, there were hardly any kitchen utensils, and the room had insects and no air conditioning. The platform eventually acknowledged the problem. I can't recommend this place given both the conditions and the host's behavior.

After a day on the bike, the excellent shower was just what we needed. Our bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the mother and daughter looking after us were lovely. Breakfast was the best we've had so far on our Loire tour: freshly made crêpes, a generous selection of cheeses, croissants like you'd get from a patisserie, plus baguettes, jams, yoghurt, juice, and the usual extras. A wonderful B&B.

The host was really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. The rooms are big too. I'd highly recommend this B&B if you're visiting Chateau Villandry or the western Loire Valley.

We found it very satisfactory. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was new, and there was easy access for bikes as well as parking. The daughter welcomed us, while the mother handled things and prepared breakfast.

We had the loft, a very large room. It cost more than the others, but felt like good value. Breakfast was very good, especially the French toast, which was to die for!
