Hôtel Inn Design & Restaurant Langres

The rooms are dirty and old. When my dog left the room, he was covered in ticks. Avoid this place!

I was here for a business stay for a week, and the room was quiet, clean and pleasant. It was serviced every day. Breakfast was a nice continental spread, and there are fast food places and a boulangerie nearby. Langres's lovely walled town is a 15-minute walk away. There was plenty of free parking and the Wi-Fi was fast.

We've stayed here several times on our drives to and from holidays in France. It's a simple hotel at a good price, nothing fancy, but the kids love the free Wi-Fi and self-serve breakfast bar and beg us to come back every summer. Dinner at the hotel is okay, typical French food, or you can walk about 15 minutes to the center of Langres and eat there. After a day stuck in the car, we enjoy that walk. We did miss air conditioning and mosquito nets on the windows, and there isn't a no-smoking policy around the house. When a room is hot and stuffy, you want to open the windows without smoke or mosquitoes coming in.

The bathrooms are tiny, though at least they're clean and look modern. The hotel could use a bit of updating, but the staff were very friendly. The grounds are pretty, with neatly mowed lawns and plenty of parking. We stayed one night at the Inn Design Novo hotel. I'd recommend it if you're passing through, and the Langres area and town are worth a visit too.
