We stayed for seven nights and didn’t want to leave. The team and the location are hard to praise enough. Our room was comfortable, the bed was perfect, and the spacious bathroom and everything in it were great quality. The pool area was lovely and refreshing. What surprised us most was the food: breakfast was perfect, and lunch and dinner were fantastic. Natasha is an amazing chef, with presentation to match the flavors. Huge thanks to Alex, James, Jody and Natasha for making us feel so welcome. We’ll see you again.

Our gîte was clean, well maintained and spacious, with a sunny terrace for breakfast, shade at noon, and a BBQ with wood and charcoal provided. The caring family running Domaine de Palatz were straightforward and accommodating, answering any request. This was our second stay, and it was just as good as the first. The grand landscape is quiet, with lots of room to walk and relax. If you love good food, good wine and clear air, this place is a great choice. Look up at night and you can see the Milky Way. I hadn’t seen that in a long time.

The family-run rooms were large, clean and beautifully presented, and the breakfasts and dinners served in house were fantastic. We had a delightful stay, with Carcassonne and nearby attractions easy to visit from here. I only wish we’d spent more time exploring the immediate surroundings. We’d definitely love to come back.

The views are stunning, especially from up by the pool, and the Domaine has thoughtful details in every corner. We stayed in the lovely gîte 3, which was just right for two people. Hopefully we’ll be back soon!

There are walking trails in the adjoining bushland, and guests share a large outdoor pool and pool house. The hosts are very friendly and speak English. They can also arrange a delicious three-course dinner along with breakfast. This rural B&B is lovely and I’d recommend it for people who can manage the terrain. Although some listings call it “accessible,” it isn’t wheelchair friendly. Gravel paths connect the accommodation and dining areas, grass leads to the pool, and a sloping dirt track goes up to some of the accommodation and pool area. There are steps at several doorways, no grab rails in the ensuite, and the ensuite door is narrow, at least in the accommodation near the pool.
