Hotel Le Rocher Du Cerf

The hotel is right at the foot of the slopes, and we stayed in its newer wing. Our brand-new room had a large terrace and excellent soundproofing, which made it really pleasant. We had half-board, and the meals were good value. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. One thing that would help is somewhere to hang or dry ski clothes.

After a day of hiking, we were very happy with the restaurant’s generous, high-quality meals. My sons and I stayed for two nights over the weekend of May 8th, and the recently renovated room was comfortable, practical, and pleasant. Everyone on staff was kind and professional, and we got a warm welcome. We had a great stay and would gladly recommend it.

The shower was unusable, with the water suddenly switching from scalding hot to freezing cold. There was condensation pouring down the window, a ceiling leak, and a leak in the shower too. We were in the older part of the Hôtel Rocher du Cerf, ROOM 512, from February 15th to 16th, but the room was still in a deplorable state. The lack of maintenance was blatant and unacceptable. We told reception straight away. A technician came and confirmed the problems, and we have photos and videos. Even so, nobody offered a concrete, immediate fix. We ended up leaving a night early. Paying €120 for a room like this is outrageous. In 2026, a hotel claiming to meet a certain standard should be ashamed to offer a room with leaks and a shower you can't use. We also sent the manager a detailed email, but he never replied. No consideration, professionalism, or respect for customers. This was unacceptable, and I strongly advise against staying here.

The room was new and spacious, and the staff were attentive. We had a pleasant half-board stay right at the foot of the slopes, with decent breakfast and dinner. The parking lot hadn't been cleared of snow on January 26, 2026, and there was no towel warmer in the bathroom. I'd happily come back.
