La Villa Hôtel Bien Être

We couldn’t find anything to fault here. The hosts were so kind and accommodating, and the rooms and bathrooms were large and spotlessly clean, with good quality towels and linen. It felt safe and child friendly. The location is great for beaches, shops and the market, and you can easily cycle to other towns. This little hotel is a real gem.

The only problem for us was the shower, which has no enclosure and left the bathroom floor soaked each time. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay on Île de Ré. We spent three nights in a family suite, and our two boys loved the nicely heated, very clean pool. Breakfast was a treat, with homemade yogurts, fruit compotes and breads. We ate outside on a little veranda, which was lovely. The hosts were friendly, helpful and hospitable, and the room was cleaned well every day. The hotel is only a short walk from a gorgeous beach and the village of La Bois Plage.

The location was great, with the village and beaches close by. We popped into two other hotels and felt very happy with our choice. It would be lovely to come back one day. Christophe and Emilie were welcoming, calm and professional, and looked after every need from before we arrived until our very early departure, when they found us taxis at the last minute. Our family suite worked well for our family of five, and the terrace made a nice difference. During a hot few days in mid August the room was warm one night, but not bad. The pool was nice, and my wife enjoyed the reflexology/massage treatment. The place is clean, quiet and private, with lots of trees and plants. We enjoyed seeing young families, older families, couples and retired couples all making the most of Ile de Re life. Breakfast was great. We liked the local foods, tea, coffee and juice each morning, and you could eat a lot for the price.

We’ve just spent a week at this charming little hotel. Christoff and Emily were so friendly and nothing felt like too much trouble. Christoff even spent an hour with his IT man getting my kindle sorted. Breakfast was excellent, and there’s a lovely pool. It’s well placed for walking to the beach and La Bois centre. Perfect for families, and highly recommended. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
