The upper-floor rooms are a little small, but Les Myrtilles makes a great base for enjoying the French Pyrenees at an easy pace. There’s free parking and Wi-Fi, plus a separate bar, and fresh meals are served every evening. Robert and Patrick take good care of their guests. Hikers of all abilities have plenty to choose from, from visits to pastoral villages to climbs of over 1,000 meters such as the Port the Salau hike. The countryside also suits cyclists and motorcycling fans. A nice choice for couples or families wanting to enjoy nature.

The food was a real highlight, delicious and plentiful enough for hungry hikers. The owners are kind, professional, helpful, and welcoming. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the trailheads, and I was very happy with the room and its good Wi-Fi reception. I’d absolutely recommend this lovely place.

Patrick gave us good tips for walks. Afterward, the bar and terrace were a lovely place to have a late afternoon drink. The surroundings are stunning, the food delicious, and everyone was so hospitable. A special place.
