Camping Mas Llinas

Other campers were making a lot of noise until after 01:00, though the site otherwise seemed like it could be peaceful. We stayed just one night and needed the basics: a clean kitchen, toilets and shower. Instead, dishes had to be washed beneath the same roof as the toilets and showers, and there was no hand soap. There were only a few shared bathrooms. We’ve stayed at better campsites that we’d happily revisit. The pool and activities weren’t important to us.

The pool looked lovely, though it was a bit cold for us, and I imagine it would be beautiful in summer. We were lucky to find this peaceful campsite open at 7pm after the others had closed. The owner spoke very little English, but we managed fine. I ordered two croissants for the morning, and they were delicious. She showed us up the hill, where we could choose a pitch with beautiful views. The shower and toilet blocks were modern and lovely, though the water could have been hotter. I’d recommend it if you’re after quiet and pretty scenery.

This was our second stop here on the way back from the UK. The new owners are very friendly, and the pool is just the thing after a hot day. The site was clean and tidy. Drinks are limited to wine and beer, and food is only available from mobile vans on certain days.

There are supermarkets nearby, and Ceret and Prats de mollo in the mountains are well worth a visit. This is a nice campsite with friendly staff and around 35 pitches for travelers. It’s quiet on the lower levels of the terraced site, with no road noise there. From other pitches you might hear distant sounds if you’re sensitive to noise. Every Friday there’s a dinner and dance with paella, sangria and dancing. In June the music went on until 23:30.
