Radisson Hotel Paris Le Bourget

I was desperate for a place to sleep, and the other hotels around Le Bourget were fully booked, so I felt I had no choice. Hygiene was zero. In the first room, there was a huge sour in the bed. I moved to a second room, only to find crumbs on the bed and hair and yellow marks on the pillowcase, turned over so people wouldn't see. In the third room, there was hair on the pillowcases and under the covers. I gave up, removed some, and slept on someone else's hair. There was hair on the bathroom floor too, and the door knobs were broken. I expected the brand to mean something better.

The rooms are usually clean and most of the staff are really friendly. Still, every work stay I've had here has come with problems. Sound carries through the rooms, and they start hammering on other rooms very early, so the hotel decides when you wake up. The rooms also vary a lot in quality. Privacy is a serious issue. The doors don't lock properly, since the lock can be bypassed with the key card or door handle. Cleaning staff often come in early, and sometimes other guests can enter too because there doesn't seem to be a system for tracking which rooms are occupied. Be ready for unwelcome encounters at odd times. Some tubs can't be filled because they have no seal, some sinks have fixed seals and can't be emptied, and some toilets don't flush properly. You may find a carton of drinking water, but not always. The tap water isn't drinkable. Small lamps often don't work or have no bulb. Breakfast is mostly cakes and pastries, with almost no savory options. There may be small bits of sausage or potatoes if you're lucky, plus strange scrambled eggs that taste artificial, as if made from water and powder, and are usually burnt. Overall, there's little privacy, noisy neighbors, inconsistent rooms, and a disappointing breakfast.

We had a lovely family holiday here. The service was very good and the staff were so kind, especially a girl called Ema or Emy, I think, though I'm not sure of the name. I hope we see you again when we visit Paris.

The location is great for the airport, but the hotel is getting really old and needs maintenance. Some bathrooms are very worn. Cleanliness also fell short: I found several dirty towels and cups in the rooms. Breakfast was minimal, and staff didn't refill things often enough, so most items ran out well before closing.
