Hotel Plaza Elysées

It’s a lovely little boutique hotel, quiet at night, and the beds are comfortable. Hotel Plaza Elysees worked perfectly for our weekend as a couple. The location is hard to beat, about a 10-minute walk to the Arc de Triumph and five minutes to the champs-elysees. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to see the city.

The location was excellent, with plenty of nice places in walking distance and public transport close by. Our room had a cute small balcony and was surprisingly quiet at night. We stayed three nights and had a nice time overall, though the room was definitely smaller than it appeared in the photos. Housekeeping came daily. We didn’t get breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. There is an area where you can have coffee and some snacks during the day, and we took advantage of the free coffee each morning. They also kindly held our luggage after checkout. At check-in, €200 was put on hold on our card. Some reviews had made us worry it might not be released, but we had no problem, it was returned immediately on the day we checked out. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, especially an Italian gentleman whose name I unfortunately can’t remember. He helped with everything and was always polite. Other than the small room, we had no real issues and enjoyed the stay.

There’s a bakery right outside the door on the right, a restaurant across the street, and a pharmacy on the corner. We took an Uber to the Eiffel Tower, a quick ride for about 30 euros. I’d recommend this place if you want to be fairly close to things without staying right in the middle of the activity. I loved the quaint feel and the windows that open. Our room was small, but we had two twin beds that could be put together as a king. There was also a refrigerator and safe, bathrobes, slippers, and USB outlets.

The artworks on the staircase were a particular highlight for me. We had a wonderful stay, with fantastic service and a beautiful, romantic, tasteful atmosphere. I’d highly recommend it.
