La romance

We were given a very warm welcome. The room and bathroom were clean, though the electrical wiring could perhaps use some improvement.

We were disappointed with the services, which fell short of what we expected from a guesthouse or holiday cottage. Cleanliness seemed superficial, the decor was mismatched and questionable, and breakfast was basic. The welcome was minimal. Electrical safety also wasn't adequate, with frequent fiddling with circuit breakers and overloaded power strips.

My husband and I had a lovely romantic stay here. The place is beautiful, quiet, and green, with thoughtful decor, and we were welcomed very warmly. I highly recommend it.

We got a very warm welcome from the cocker spaniel and Stéphanie. The property is wooded and welcoming to animals, with chickens, rabbits, birds, and dogs. It's 20 minutes from Deauville, Trouville, and Honfleur, and 10 minutes from Lisieux. I'd recommend it for a night or two. There's a second unit with a kitchen for a week's holiday. The accommodation was independent, secure, and well equipped: microwave, fridge, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, iron and ironing board, terrace, and garden furniture. Breakfast was already provided, so we could eat whenever we wanted. The accommodation, bedding, and towels were clean, the beds were firm but comfortable, and the bathroom had good storage. There was free Wi-Fi and a TV with a good picture, though it was poorly positioned. Regional flyers were available, and we got keys with a remote for the gate. A few downsides: there was no fresh bread or pastries in the morning, just vacuum-packed rusks and chocolate croissants. The bed frame was a little uncomfortable, and I told the owner, who said she'd take care of it. There was no third towel, which was especially inconvenient for women. There was no SFR mobile network coverage. The bathroom door creaks, and the toilet macerator wakes the family if used in the middle of the night.
