Château de broyes

The heated pool is covered and set right in front of this gorgeous castle, which was a treat. It’s tucked away in woodland near Montdidier. The owner has a colorful personality, was happy to share regional tips, and swapped stories with us.

Really nice venue, and beautiful too. Just wish it had air conditioning.

The grounds at Château de Broyes are lovely and peaceful, with a great setting for wedding pictures and time outdoors. But several things really affected our experience. The breakfast was very basic and badly organized, with too little crockery for all the guests, which made things confusing and uncomfortable. We were also accused of damage without being shown any evidence, which felt unfair and was deeply disappointing. There are unmarked security cameras in some areas, and their presence was shocking. The lack of transparency raised serious concerns for us about guests' privacy. The owner also came across as authoritarian and unwelcoming, with little hospitality, which is disappointing in a place meant for family celebrations. On top of that, the bride and groom aren't allowed to get ready at the venue, a real drawback for such an important day. The setting is charming, but the welcome and management leave a lot to be desired. We wouldn't recommend this château for a wedding.

The animals around the grounds and the peaceful natural setting made the place feel special. Our secular wedding there on July 26, 2025 was magical, especially the ceremony among the beautiful grounds. The venue was magnificent and very well kept, and helped make the day unforgettable. Jérôme was warm, kind, available, and welcoming. We could access the venue several times while preparing for the wedding, which was a real help. The reception hall is upstairs, with access by stairs or an outside walkway, convenient for vendors and guests with mobility issues. There’s plenty of parking too. The price is unbeatable compared with other estates and castles in the region. I recommend it 100%. Thank you, Jérôme, for your hospitality and availability.
