We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was included and good. Our room and bathroom were immaculate. The house is beautiful, in the prettiest part of the island, and there’s easy free parking nearby. A joy all round.

Arnaud was a big help with transport since I didn’t have a car. I’d arrived by train and then taxi, though taking the bus was also an option. Laurence and Arnaud are wonderful hosts, and I highly recommend Maison Mer. The house is beautiful and centrally located near the market and the citadelle. My room was very comfortable, with a modern bathroom, and breakfast was wonderful, with fresh local fruit and bread.

The owner, Arnauld, was charming and looked after us so well. Breakfast had good quality products, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated, in a quiet spot that’s still very central. A perfect stay.

The location is ideal for a stay on Île d'Oléron, with the beach just steps away. The house sits within the fortifications and is magnificent, full of history and charm. Laurence and Arnaud were lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast was fantastic. Don’t hesitate, book it. A big thank you to you both!
