The big plus is the blackout curtains and the side view of the ocean. Otherwise, it's a mixed bag. The kitchen has the bare basics, dishes and utensils, but no sugar, olive oil, or salt. And the bathroom has a toilet dispenser like you'd find at a truck stop.
The 50 m² apartment was spotless and worked very well in practice, with a bathtub and bidet, separate toilet, living room with TV, and a lovely bedroom. The decor and furniture are dated, but that didn't bother me since I was outside all day. From the balcony and terrace there are ocean views and lovely sunset colors. Some people mention noise, but it was completely peaceful during my late July 2025 stay, so I guess it depends on the neighbors. I was lucky! I spent 4 nights at the Le Vènète residence in Le Croisic. Everything is within a 20-minute walk, and the train station is just 10 minutes away. Getting the keys and instructions, including about cleaning, at the Viking Hotel was perfectly smooth. Thanks for a few days of vacation. I've recommended the residence to my friends and family :)
The sea view from the apartment is lovely, and the location is excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It's a real shame the decor is dated, though. The residence has potential and would benefit from renovation.
We live in Nantes and came for one night in February with our 4-year-old son, hoping to get a break by the coast and visit the Oceanarium. We booked through Booking.com for €75 a night, though the rate can go up to €125. The location would be perfect for summer: the beach is just steps away, and the balcony has a partial sea view. The kitchen is fully equipped. The studio has no soundproofing at all. The bathroom is old and dark, and the child's sleeping area is a gloomy, doorless closet-like space with a folding bunk bed. There were no duvets, just dusty camping blankets that looked as old as the building. The residence may have been very nice in the 1980s, but in 2025 it needs updated decor and building renovations, especially since check-in is at the hotel across the street, which is a different standard. Since it's classified as an aparthotel, guests have to clean the studio themselves or pay €70, the same as the night's cost. For anyone staying only one night, there's a filter coffee maker but no filter or coffee, not even a small welcome kit with coffee sticks or tea bags. Breakfast is available at a different establishment outside for €20 per person.
The beach is decent, and the walk along the wild coastline is lovely. The sea view is completely open, but it faces the parking lot and its bins for glass, trash, paper, and plastic. People dump rubbish there at all hours, and the glass bottles make an awful noise. Then a truck comes to empty the bins every day around 7 a.m. If you want peace and quiet, this isn't the place. What a shame.
