The owner asked for extra money despite having provided a quote beforehand, and gave no real justification. The pool was in poor condition, and when we were finally comfortable there, swimming lessons made us leave. On arrival, the welcome felt odd. The entrance looked like an abandoned garage, with several broken-down cars outside, which wasn’t reassuring. The room wasn’t suitable either: the air conditioner dripped into the room like a little waterfall, and its remote had dead batteries, so we had to find replacements just to turn the unit off. The mattress was uncomfortable and the bed base was awful. When I sat down, I fell right through it. It’s hard to imagine sleeping comfortably on it unless you weigh less than 20 kg. A very disappointing stay from start to finish. I absolutely don’t recommend this place.

Le Rêve Bleu turned out to be a nightmare. I strongly advise anyone looking for a Caribbean getaway to avoid it and put their vacation budget in the hands of professionals with some basic rigor and honesty. This review follows an actual stay, and the observations are verifiable and documented. SBTCG The buildings were in unacceptable condition for a place open to the public, clearly outdated and neglected for years, with little regard for guests’ comfort or safety. The pool, one of the resort’s main attractions, had a liner visibly peeling off over a large area. It’s inexcusable to keep charging for a service in that state. The rooms weren’t much better. Some didn’t have televisions, and others had broken ones. Once switched on, the air conditioners couldn’t be turned off, and they leaked into the rooms, making the stay uncomfortable and potentially unsanitary. The business practices were just as bad. After proper quotes had been signed, the owner changed the agreed rates without justification. We were blatantly overcharged with no contractual basis, which most likely amounts to an unfair business practice. It felt like an outright rip-off. The experience was disastrous in every respect, and deeply disappointing, even traumatic.

The view of Diamond Rock is the only good point, and that isn’t enough. We stayed two nights, but check-in was tedious and the hygiene was disastrous. The bathroom rug was dirty, and so was the bedding. Everything looked outdated, from the air conditioning to the bathroom. In short, don’t go.

I’d give it minus five stars if that were possible. The building is dilapidated, the room was in bad shape, the shower filthy, and there was a rat carcass on the terrace. We’d booked for 20 people, but poor management meant three of us were moved into a room for four. Then they asked for an extra €300, supposedly for two additional rooms, because another group had booked two extra rooms. It felt like another rip-off. I’m only giving one star because there’s no lower option.
