I love having fondue in this sort of region, and theirs was one of the best I’ve tried, absolutely delicious. The food and service were excellent for the price. The staff made us feel so welcome, and the restaurant is charming, with a delightful setting.

The meal at La Bournerie was lovely, and the place had a great atmosphere, but something that happened at dinner seriously spoiled our holiday. My son and I ordered the three-meat grill, and they put raw pork and chicken on the same plate we were supposed to eat from. I raised the food-safety issue with the staff, but they didn’t seem to understand the concern. The next day, we both had fevers and severe stomach problems, and couldn’t ski for several days. If you visit for the atmosphere and food, make sure raw meat isn’t put on your eating plate. La Bournerie, please change this practice immediately.

For the last 10 seasons, my family and I have had lunch at this amazing restaurant every day, and it’s become one of our favorite parts of the day. The terrace is in a wonderful spot, with a patio, and the staff are always polite, quick and attentive. Most speak English very well. The Irish coffee is great, the owners are lovely, and the guy is always happy to share his rhum or genepi. Simply a great place!

We had delicious French mountain food for dinner, followed by lovely desserts, and the hosts were really friendly. The location is perfect for a long weekend on the slopes, truly ski in/ski out. Just be aware there are steep steps up to the rooms and you need indoor shoes upstairs. Still, relaxing in slippers by the wood-burning stove is hard to beat!

Our lunch was a delightful ski-in, ski-out stop. The hosts were so welcoming, and our table on the enclosed sun terrace was fabulous, with sheep fur on the chairs. We had generous, delicious local Reblochon cheese dishes, then finished with a cappuccino and a toast of genepi before heading back out skiing. We’ll be back ❤️
