We’ve been staying at this hotel for nearly 20 years. This visit, the food was much better, and it feels like the hotel is finally moving in the right direction after several years when good cooking was missing. A longer menu with vegetarian options would make it better still.

We had a lovely room with its own terrace and a huge, comfortable bed. The hotel has contemporary decor, very friendly staff, a great bar overlooking the marina, and a reasonably priced restaurant with very nice wines. There isn't much within walking distance beyond the marina and Delice de la Mer, which is a great seafood restaurant. Snack choices at the bar are limited if you don't want a full meal, though perhaps that's better in high season. The bathroom also lacks privacy: you can see straight into the tooth-brushing area from the bedroom and hear everything in the toilet. Its door doesn't close properly and has a gap around it, which isn't ideal even for a long-standing couple.

The staff are friendly, and the two pools are pleasant places to hang out, with what seems like enough room for everyone. Our room was fine and clean, though there was no complimentary water. I took a star off because both dinner and breakfast were disappointing.
