The sheets were clean and had been changed before we arrived, which matters most to me. The rest of the place felt less cared for: floors and surfaces didn't seem very clean, and lots of things were broken. Most of the lamps and electrical sockets didn't work, and towel racks looked ready to come off the wall. The hotel is very basic and needs serious refreshing before it starts falling apart. The staff were kind and lovely, though. We guessed they just didn't have the time or resources. There was also a communication mix-up. I'd requested something when booking, but the opposite was done when we got there, which caused a delay. The location is perfect if you want to be near the station. For the price, you get a clean bed for the night, and you support a small local business instead of a big chain like Ibis. Just don't expect a two-star hotel.

It's a two-minute walk to the train station and a fifteen-minute walk to the ferry. The room is a little small, and it smelled of cleaning product at first. We opened the window for half an hour and then it was clean and smelled great. The young woman at reception deserves five stars too. This isn't a five-star hotel, it's a five-star budget hotel.

The room and toilet both stank, and the bed had a strong bleach smell. There was no hot water, and the Wi-Fi was very weak. We had to check out after just 30 minutes. The receptionist didn't speak English.

Everything about this place was horrifying. The dirt was so bad that you could catch all kinds of diseases, and there was a terrible smell throughout the hotel. I don't know how the French state can let a hotel like this operate, let alone give it a star. Please don't book here.

The owners are gentle, very nice people, and I had everything I needed in my room. Breakfast was delicious too. I totally recommend it.
