Our stay has been disappointing so far, and I hope management fixes these problems for future guests. We paid over €650 for six nights, so I expected essential facilities to work. The toilet in our room couldn't be flushed after use, which was the most concerning issue. The ATM by the entrance was also out of service. We were given a connecting room on arrival, and from the first night the air conditioning didn't work properly, apparently the same issue as in other rooms. The four EV charging stations were all unusable: two were offline, and the other two needed a proprietary access card that wasn't readily available. We spent about 30 minutes trying to sort this out with a staff member, but it wasn't resolved and the employee seemed unfamiliar with the system. The overall value didn't match what we expected, and several operational problems overshadowed our positive outlook on arrival. When we raised the concerns with the manager, we were told the hotel had been acquired only three weeks earlier. That might explain some of the issues, but it doesn't lessen the impact on guests.

We had a pleasant stay, thanks to the wonderful staff. The receptionist was especially sweet and hardworking, handling everything from check-in and check-out to serving breakfast. I hope they pay her well. Guests, please be kind to her...

The check-in machine they use for automatic check-in during the day was broken, so I waited about 3 hours for a staff member to open the doors for me. The staff themselves are friendly and competent. They should hire more people. Not everything needs to be automatic.

The hotel has excellent parking, and the staff were excellent and very helpful. There are small supermarkets nearby, plus a microwave guests can use. There's also a hot and cold drinks machine, but avoid the coffee, it tasted awful. A lovely outdoor area to sit and relax, too. It's very clean, with a comfy bed, and just a short walk into town and the Dockside shops. For two nights in a row, the air conditioning was switched off at about 7pm, so we left the window open and got bitten badly by mosquitos. There's an excellent restaurant around the corner, opposite the Winston Churchill memorial garden, which needs repair. The restaurant has been there since 1952, offers excellent service, and has the best Lamb.

The area looked a little rough and run down, and the location isn't perfect, but it was an easy walk into town to find a restaurant. The hotel and room are basic, yet very clean and have everything you'd want from a budget stay. Breakfast was simple but good, and I thought it was really good for the money. A very friendly, helpful guy at reception gave us a warm welcome.
