Vivez La vue mer - Studio - Port de plaisance - Plage

Our weekend in Le Havre started well. The little studio was charming and had a sea view, but then we found there was no hot water in the shower. I contacted the apartment manager at 6 p.m. He called back at 9, didn't apologize, and suggested we use a shower in a ground-floor apartment, as if we were at a campsite. He seemed not to believe us and didn't offer to send anyone to fix it. We had to ask for help ourselves. Eventually, he called the cleaning lady, who told us the tap had already been broken before our rental. The owner never got back to us or apologized. Only after we complained to Booking.com were we offered €30 off for the two nights. We paid €65 per night for a service that wasn't even up to Formula 1 hotel standards. Breakdowns can happen, but renting a studio for €80 a night while knowing the hot water doesn't work, then treating guests this way, is unacceptable.

It's a beautiful apartment in a great location, with a lovely view. But there were no electrical outlets, hooks, or anywhere to hang clothes. Cleanliness was only average: the sink was clogged and the sheets were stained.

The apartment is beautifully decorated and absolutely gorgeous, with an incredible view where you can watch ships passing by. I highly recommend it!

It's wonderful to sit and take in this view. There's always something moving out there, and it's all beautiful: fishing boats heading out at night, container ships, ferries, cruise ships, and the coastline.
