The one bright spot was the lovely, helpful girl at breakfast. Otherwise, this place felt dreadful and as if it were falling apart. I had the RED room, which seemed like half a room to me. A thin wall behind the bed meant we could hear the people next door coughing. Door handles didn't work properly, the curtains were awful, a light fitting was loose, and neither the room door nor bathroom door shut properly. The whole place needs some TLC. The visitors' books on display praised how wonderful everything was, but the entries were at least two years old. This was September 2025. I'd never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

BEWARE!!! We booked by phone and were told we didn't need a deposit or email confirmation. A week later, we showed up at the suggested time, between 4 and 5 pm, only for him to say he'd told us 13h and had given our room to someone else. It was August, and everywhere else was booked. We'd stayed there two years earlier and booked by phone under exactly the same conditions, with no deposit or confirmation requested. We can only suppose a "better deal" came along from someone wanting more nights than we did. It ruined our vacation, and we've NEVER had anything like this happen anywhere else. Totally unscrupulous, with no effort whatsoever to help us find a solution. Downright nasty.

We stayed in the suite on Friday and Saturday nights. Each morning, all five Roosters started screaming at 4 o'clock and kept going all morning!
