Please be careful here. They tried to charge me 25 euros because I left my things in the lobby. They charge for everything, including lockers and towels. They say checkout is at 1100, but try to get you out earlier. I didn’t feel safe or comfortable. If you want a 4:00 PM check-in, dirt cheap prices, and staff who care about you, this might be the place.

The location is fine, near a busy street, and the bathrooms were really clean. But there was no shower gel or soap, just taps with water. We booked a private suite for four, and one bed had what looked like jizz stains. When I complained, they said someone had probably spilled juice or milk. They just wiped the sheet in front of me instead of changing it. We had to rent everything we needed, even forks, knives, towels, and napkins. I’ve never paid for plates and forks anywhere else. Apparently only the air you breathe is free. It was my first hostel with no kitchen, just a microwave. On the first day, a super rude woman didn’t tell us we could check in early, so we waited outside until someone else explained it. We had already paid for the accommodation, taxes, and everything, but the machine asked us for payment at check-in, so we paid. Then it asked again at checkout. Staff said the machines don’t send data to their system. Later I realized many people were paying without noticing, and that’s how they were making a lot of money. Pure scam.

I can’t understand the 11:00 checkout and 16:00 check-in times when they clearly don’t clean or change anything in between. How much could it cost just to wash the sheets? The place smelled awful as soon as I walked in, and felt dirty and badly maintained. My sheets had red marks that looked like BLOOD. I told the night staff, but instead of giving me clean ones, he brought sheets from another bed that was already made on a different floor and handed them over unfolded. My friend extended her stay and found the very same dirty sheet with the same stains on her bed again. She even broke out in pimples after sleeping there. They don’t seem to care about guests’ health. This was one of my worst hostel experiences. It was completely unclean, unsafe, and unsanitary, and not worth the money. Don’t stay here.

I found the online check-in and checkout convenient. The welcome desk was usually empty, but making a key on the machine was new to me and easy enough. There were lockers in the rooms, the place was quiet, disciplined, neat, and clean, and the stay was a good experience for me. I’ve stayed in this type of hostel before. It’s in the main city, within walking distance of Bercy Paris Flix Bus stop, and you can get around on foot, by bus, or by nearby Metro. I couldn’t connect to the WiFi, and towels cost extra. One thing missing: a small complimentary bottle of water would help passengers until they can find somewhere else to get one.

I’ve stayed in hostels regularly, and this is the worst one I’ve used since the 90s. My dorm was like an airless cell, with the windows bolted shut and no ventilation. Every privacy curtain had been ripped down, and the hooks were gone. I left after the first night and asked for a refund, but there’s no way to reach staff except through social media, and they don’t reply. The on-site staff were incredibly rude. Don’t stay here. Spend 10 euros more for a decent hostel. Trust me.
