We stayed a few nights. The hotel suited what we needed, though the rooms are very small.

Set on a narrow high street and just 100 meters from the sandy beach, the location is perfect. The owner was pleasant, and we had a nice chat over a simple but good breakfast. Our comfort room was small and a bit frayed around the edges, but it was quiet and comfortable, and even had a sea view. It’s a good hotel for the price, and I hope to return.

The hotel itself is just a joke. Le Lavandou is a nice place, though there are many others around, and it feels dead and without an identity. Out of season it’s like a “Zombie town”, impersonal, unprofessional, and negative. After 8, you can’t even get a bottle of water. It all feels fake. Prices are high for low quality, and the beaches are average and aimed at mass tourism. Some restaurants are open, but their menus are weak and expensive. There’s a lack of kindness everywhere. It’s a shame.
