The spacious, comfortable rooms and the professional service made for a pleasant stay, and the location is fantastic, just steps from the sea. The parking is spacious too, a real advantage by the coast. A few things could be better. There was dust and crumbs on the floor, and all I had to clean with was a small brush, so I dealt with it myself. Room cleaning is only scheduled every 4 days. Breakfast was also very modest: eggs, two kinds of ham, camembert, bread, mini croissants, pancakes, apples, and plums. No fresh vegetables, and not much variety, which stood out more on a longer stay. If you’re a light sleeper, the waves can be quite noticeable in sea-view rooms and make it harder to fall asleep. Reception also closes at 7 PM, which may be inconvenient if you arrive later. The place has a lot going for it with its location and professional staff, and I had a pleasant stay, but the breakfast, cleanliness, and reception hours could use improvement.

We liked the resort. It has the amenities you need for a holiday, comfortable rooms with fitted kitchens, green surroundings, and a spot right in front of the beach. The toilets could be better equipped, with a small cabinet and a shower partition. Bigger shower towels and more frequent cleaning at no extra charge would have helped, especially for a beach holiday.

It smelled old and musty, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The building is old and in such a state that it felt disgusting to take off my shoes or touch anything. As soon as we got to the room, we found the floor hadn’t been washed. For that price, you could find somewhere better. I wouldn’t even give it 2 stars.

The restaurant and pool bar made our stay especially memorable. Lorenz was so lovely, and the bar man, whose name I never caught, was always cheerful. He even knew our Coke Zero order before we got there. Elodie also made sorting out bike rentals and paddle boards easy. We’ve been coming to Le Lavandou since 2014, and after our usual hotel let us down, we found a real gem. The rooms, facilities, setting and atmosphere were all on another level. Probably the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at, and we can’t wait to return next year.
