At first glance, the residence is attractive, well kept, and seems like it could be a good place for seniors. There are some nice touches and pleasant surprises. But the experience behind that appearance was much less satisfactory. The staff, especially in the restaurant, left a lot to be desired. Short staffing was obvious day to day and affected both service and the attention residents received. One employee in particular was smiling and served impeccably, which reminded me that the restaurant does have good points. That stood in stark contrast to the restaurant manager, who seemed unprofessional and barely smiled. The department head also appeared largely indifferent to the problems, and the assistant manager's professionalism seemed inadequate for her responsibilities. I also had concerns about the business side. The woman responsible for apartment management dresses very provocatively. Are we at the Moulin Rouge or in a senior residence? It's a shame, because the facility has real potential, but the people management and organization fall short. The residence needs to rethink its staffing and how it's run.
