Hotel de Rennes

This is a small, no-frills hotel with reasonable rates, and the owner was welcoming and very helpful. The location is convenient, just steps from the tram and across from Le Mans train station, with amenities close by. For a two-star place, the bed was comfortable, breakfast generous, and the room well arranged. The bathroom is small but private. Ask for a courtyard-facing room if you want quiet. Paid parking is directly opposite, and motorcyclists can use the little courtyard. Be aware there are stairs and no elevator. If you're after luxury and high prices, look elsewhere. For a budget stay if you're not fussy, it's a good fit. Thanks to the owner for the warm welcome and kindness. I highly recommend it.

The place is run-down, noisy, and smells bad. For the price of an Ibis, this feels like an old-fashioned Spanish inn, and they call it two stars, really? There are much better places nearby for the same money. Avoid it.

The owner was very attentive, and we liked the pleasant breakfast room and the charm of the old-fashioned hotel. Our room seemed new. We were pleasantly surprised, especially after the more expensive, dirty Ibis next door had disappointed us. I recommend this hotel in Rennes.

A straightforward hotel with comfortable beds and a generous breakfast. It's well placed across from the train station and near the tram, which makes it easy to explore the city. The owner was kind, too.
