My wife got to the property late, and it clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. The main bed had been slept in and the sheets hadn’t been changed; used towels were left on the floor. She and our two daughters ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which they had to make up themselves. When we told the property staff, they called us liars and insisted everything was fine. The time stamped, GPS tagged photos tell a different story. We tried to bring it up with them, but they weren’t interested. I usually have very good experiences with Booking.com and am quick to leave positive reviews, but this stay fell far short of what we expected. Very disappointing.

When we arrived at 7 pm, the flat was unbearably hot, around 45 degrees, with all the windows shut. I messaged the owner and didn’t even get an apology. The advertised air conditioning was a portable unit upstairs, far too small and noisy for a place that size. Its rear air pipe was broken and held in place with tape, which didn’t work. The listing also said there was private parking, but it cost 10 €, and there was no room to park on the road outside. We paid too much for the condition of the place. One of the worst accommodations I’ve stayed in.

The apartments are well equipped, and the host was polite and quick to respond. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with great secure parking. There’s a shop close by, and we took a short walk to the station where we found some bars. I’d happily stay again and would readily recommend Le Patio De Loiseau. Having an apartment felt so much better than being confined to one hotel room. Thank you.

The apartment itself was beautiful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, close to the High Street for groceries and pubs, and the location worked well for us.

Even in the extreme heat, 35°C, it was a fantastic experience. Getting there by car was easy, and it’s close to the city centre.
