The staff were nice, and the rooms are a reasonable size, but the place feels tired and old-fashioned, with little care taken over its dated look. There was barely any lighting beyond the bedside lamps, so working at the desk was impossible. Noise between rooms was awful: you could hear neighbors talking, using the toilet, and walking around. For such a steep price, this was a huge letdown. I'd give it three stars at most. A Novotel or Ibis would be much nicer.

Booking online was easy, and we had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and the location was nice. Parking costs 10 euros per night.

Even though the staff were all kind to us, they didn't seem motivated, and breakfast was nothing special. That's about the only reason I gave it two stars. The bathroom and toilet looked like the one modern part of the property. Everywhere else feels very old, smells bad, and barely works. You still get a physical key, and you can hear people in the corridor or the room above. There's just one Wi-Fi access point for the whole corridor, so don't count on a strong connection. We'd already paid and couldn't get a refund, but if we'd known, we wouldn't have stayed. It doesn't come close to four-star standards, more like the 1980s.

The city is beautiful, and our two-night business trip stay was a great experience. The room was spotless, breakfast had plenty to choose from, and dinner was delicious. Everyone on staff was friendly too. Thanks, I'd happily come back.

The hotel worked out really well for my business in Champagne, and I'd recommend it to anyone I know heading to Le Mans. I don't speak French, but communicating with everyone I met during my stay was no problem. The staff were so nice and courteous, and I had a great time there.
