Auberge de Jeunesse HI Belle-Île-en-Mer

A peaceful place, just what you need to unwind.

Our group of 10 had never stayed in a youth hostel before, but we were really happy with the experience. The rooms were comfortable and everything was clean. The activities were well organized, and the meals were balanced and excellent. The staff made us feel very welcome. We all had a great stay, and I’ve nothing else to add except thanks to the whole hostel team. Association VieVié

The meals were a highlight of our 5-day group hike. We were on half-board, and the food was varied, balanced, and really well prepared. They also catered for my vegetarian diet, which I appreciated a lot. The welcome was warm, and the hostel is in a great spot for getting around the island by shuttle bus. They regularly offer activities too. The rooms and facilities were clean, though of course they don’t have the comfort of a hotel. The place is run with a good outlook, including recycling and using organic, local food whenever possible. I’d recommend staying here.

Marie and her team really saved our trip after our original booking was cancelled the same day. They found us a room at the last minute, and gave us such a warm welcome. Marie, Anna, and Alanna were all lovely. The hostel is well placed on Belle-Île, with a spotless room, a friendly atmosphere, and a delicious breakfast. There was even a small evening concert with guitar, saxophone, and clarinet. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay!
