I was riding a motorcycle and the flooding in Catalonia made it impossible to reach the hotel. Civil Protection alerts kept warning that going outside was life-threatening, so I was trying to get to safety first. The hotel said I was too late to contact them and wouldn’t offer a refund or let me cancel without paying the 105 Euro fee. That meant I couldn’t seek a refund through booking.com support. I can’t comment on the hotel itself, and I might have slept well there, but the owners showed no sympathy for the situation.

The hotel was nice, and the city was nice too. The food, though, wasn’t very good.

The homemade food was a real treat, prepared with care from fresh, local produce. Breakfast was delicious too. We also found the room clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the hosts were attentive and genuinely welcoming. It’s a quiet, relaxing place in a great spot for exploring the region. An unforgettable stay in Le Perthus, a place not to miss!

We stopped in for lunch rather than staying overnight, and the welcome and service were very good. Our two dogs were treated well too. I’d recommend it.
