The house is on a quiet lane, about fifty meters from the coast, and parking was easy. Bikes are available, and the small nearby beaches are lovely, though the rocks make swimming a bit tricky. I stayed alone for one night in the "Le Petit Ecrin" room, which suited me perfectly. For a couple, it might feel a little short on privacy. The amenities were high quality, and the room was quiet, comfortable, and well-heated. Karine gave me a very warm welcome and was kind and helpful. Breakfast the next morning, shared with some friendly guests, was perfect. I’d definitely come back.

The rooms were charming, and so were the little garden and veranda. We had a wonderful week at the end of July and beginning of August, with excellent homemade breakfasts. Karine and Stéphane gave us useful maps and brochures for things to do, restaurants, and anything else we wanted to know. There are also free bicycles for exploring the area, and Karine was attentive to all our needs. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade yogurt, jams, cakes, and fruit salad, plus fresh bread and croissants. Our room was spacious, lovely, and tastefully decorated, with plenty of storage. Everything was spotless. We felt very warmly welcomed at this superb guesthouse. We’re big fans of guesthouses, and highly recommend L’ÉCRIN DE L’OCÉAN in Le Pouliguen for a high-quality stay. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, and we really appreciated Karine’s warm presence while she served them. Karine and Stéphane took such good care of us and made us feel welcome right away. It’s a peaceful, very comfortable guesthouse just steps from the ocean. We highly recommend it, and thank you both again!
